Problems and Coping Strategies in the Implementation of the Vegetable Market Access System in Sichuan

Abstract
The status quo of the vegetable market access system in Sichuan province was reviewed, and three major problems were found in the implementation of the market access system: focus more on quantity than quality; attention more on form than content; emphasis more on verification than on supervision. Coping strategies for these problems were suggested as follows: to work out an operatable specification for the supporting laws and regulations; to step up the whole process supervision of vegetable production and transportation; the implementation of the pilot mode of leading enterprises, the production teams, vegetable bases and retailers; to push forward the brand developing trinity strategy and the overall progress strategy; to accelerate the improving of the relative measures concerning the vegetable market access system to ensure the vegetable food safety in Sichuan
