Investigation on Self Esteem and Achievement Motivation of Children with Learning Disability

In order to investigate the self esteem and achievement of children with LD, a comparative study is made of two groups of the children with LD and without LD by means of questionnaires. The result shows that the total score of children with LD was significantly lower than that of children without LD in terms of the self-esteem and achievement motivation; in addition, the severer the LD is, the lower the self esteem and achievement motivation of the children will become, indicating that there is a positive correlation between a child's self esteem and his achievement motivation.
