    • The calligraphy in Wei and Jin periods has played an important role in calligraphic history of China. The calligraphic works in these periods were unique in their smooth and harmonious design. Consequently, the two periods witnessed the first tide of Chinese calligraphy. At the same time the tradition of rhyme orientation was established. And the aesthetics of calligraphy was highlighted. Since then such art has stepped onto self consciousness and become an independent subject.
