Abstract
The field investigation for the habitat of Chinese goral was carried out in Tangjiahe Natural Reserve from July to August, 2005 and from June to September, 2006. The results showed that Chinese goral preferred upper slopes with a sunny exposure in higher altitudes and selected the conifer- mixed forest with denser shrubs and high herb cover, indicating that the density of herbs and shrubs are two important factors influencing the Chinese goral’s choice of habitat in the summer.
