The Superiority Analysis of Gauss Conformal Projection with Compensation Plane

In order that the distance obtained through coordinate inverse calculation of control points of engineering plane control network is practically approximate to the distance by field measure, Gauss conformal projection of 3° zone, Gauss conformal projection of 3° zone with compensation plane, Gauss conformal projection of arbitrary zone and compensating surface with arbitrary zone of Gauss projection can be adopted. Through the comparative analysis and empirical confirmation, it shows that compensating surface with arbitrary zone of Gauss conformal projection can effectively inhibit the length deformation of the projection.
