Abstract
The current graduates from the higher vocational colleges of our country are still far from competent in fulfilling jobs that our society can provide for. Due to the limited time at college, it is urgent that we foster the core professional skills in our students. Through methods like questionnaires, interviews, surveys and statistical analysis, a basic module of the core professional skills compatible for higher vocational students is worked out and a PMS talents Cultivation system, which is based on both the PM and PS system, is constructed. In the design of PMS system, the autonomous learning module is taken as an example for factor analysis, which further helps propose a dominant evaluation system for recessive abilities. After a summing-up of the construction experience of training bases and comparison of the practical results between pre- and post-training, a regular curriculum is established to foster the core professional skills and rules are formed to regulate daily teaching and training and thus to help enrich curricular resources
