Comprehensive Experiment Design for Preparation of Sodium Thiosulfate Pentahydrate and Testing of Dehydration Thermal Effects

Through the illustration of the preparation of sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate and the differential thermal analysis, a comprehensive experiment program is designed through organic combination of inorganic compound preparation and physical property test. The Experimental results find nice consistence with the values recorded in literatures, which meets the requirements of the students’ experiment for reproducibility, and is capable of achieving the purpose of comprehensive training in students’ experimental skills, so that students could learn the method for inorganic compound preparation, and master the differential thermal analysis, so as to be better acquainted with the dehydration of sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate and enhance their innovative ability in practice.
