Abstract

There lacks deep study of GU An’s Literary Notes serialized in Woods of Novels in academic circle. The work inherited the traditional novel critiques and had some development. And it has its unique value in study of historical novels from aesthetic perspectives. Its critic conception was strikingly influenced by Western literary ones, which was closely related to the background of Eastern Movement of Western Studies. It is the typical epitome of modern transformation of ancient literary criticism.
