Abstract
By use of questionnaires, literature review, a survey and analysis is made of the status quo of college students' participation in sports, the findings of which show that: students have inadequate knowledge of the sunshine sports campaign; students' motive of sports goes adrift with their sports acts with a far from satisfactory rate of participation; the lack of sufficient sports grounds and facilities, all of which have negative effects upon the smooth implementation of the campaign. Suggestions: to step up the publicity campaign of the sunshine sports; to raise students' awareness of keeping fit; to integrate the sunshine sports ideology with the sports courses; to introduce the inner and outer class all-in-one club model; to invest more on sports so as to satisfy the needs of the out-of-class sports communities and clubs.
