Aza-Michael Addition Reaction Boosted by Zinc Powder Under Solvent-free Condition

A rapid and efficient aza-Michael addition of aliphatic amines wit electron-deficient alkenes promoted by zinc powder under solventfree conditions was reported, and the corresponidng β amino ester compound was obtained in good to excellent yields.The reaction avoided the use of lrganic solvents, which renders the methodology highly valuable from both environment and economic points of view.
