A Study of ZHANG Da-qian’s Traces in Winter of 1939

Both A Biography oZHANG Da-qian by WANG Jia-cheng and A Complete Biography of ZHANG Da-qian by LI Yong-qiao believed that ZHANG stayed in Chengdu in the winter of 1939. The worldwide materials concerning ZHANG all show that in the winter of 1939 he travelled to Shanghai and Hongkong. His travels in the time order have formed a perfect chain of evidence which shows that the painting Landscape of Huangshan Mountain created in that winter is ZHANG’s real work
