Abstract
Children are born with the noticeable feeling and aesthetic ability to the outside world. However, their paintings are often stiff and lack creation and soul due to the restriction of adults’ traditional teaching styles. The children’s fine arts education should not be aimed at cultivating a painter. Instead, it should stress the cultivation of children’s abilities of observation, thinking, practice and creation. Its creation education lies in reforming the traditional teaching styles, innovating teaching methods and stimulating children’s imagination and their interest in fine arts. In addition, the teachers should prepare the situation for arousing children’s creative thinking in an attempt to realize the cultivation of children’s ability of creative thinking.
