Abstract
The Kafka’s identity as a Jew exerted profound and fatal influence on him both mentally and physically. But this does not mean that he completely identified with Jews. In spite of that, he was a firm Zionist. His summary of himself as the last fragmentized Jew told people that among Jews he was not the man on their side. He was but a Jew who had his own special feelings and rational way of thinking, who said there existed crisis in all human beings including Jews, and who was already fragmentized in the internal world.
