An Analysis on Loss of Confucian Spirit in Nineteen Ancient Poems

    • The anonymous Nineteen Ancient Poems, appearing at the end of Eastern Han Dynasty, reveals the life of scholars of that time when there was a big turn of social thoughts, and the loss of Confucian spirit was particularly striking. This paper has summarized three aspects of the loss of Confucian spirit at the end of Eastern Han Dynasty: the loss of vigorous and promising spirit, the loss of the spirit of restricting benefit by means of justice and the loss of kindheartedness.
