    On Desireless Thought in Laozi

    • Laozi’s understanding of desire included the meeting of people’s desire for existence and removal of greed. His so-called desirelessness does not mean no desire at all. In fact, he affirmed the normal desire for one’s clothing, food and housing and he opposed the greed. His desire narration has provided us a strategy for constructing harmonious life.
