On the Words with Light Tone in A Dictionary of Common Words in Contemporary Chinese
So far, there is no agreement on the collection of the Chinese words with light tone in various dictionaries. Through the examination of A Dictionary of Common Words in Contemporary Chinese, the author has found 2043 words with light tone (of which 1139 have regular light tone and take 55.8%; 904 have no regular light tone and take 44.2%). And he has made statistics from different perspectives.
