An Experimental Study on the Methods of CultivatingSpecialized Abilities of Basketball Major Students in Normal Universities

By methods of questionnaires, comparative experiments, mathematical statistics,etc., a research was made into the methods of cultivating specialized abilities of basketball major students in teachers colleges, and a basketball skill assessment system was also established and then experimented. The results indicated: by setting up a basketball association, and sending basketball majors to other departments to act as their basketball mentors in a planned, organized and resonable way for the purpose of launching more basketball activities and competitions, it proves to be an effetive approach to improve the specilized abilities of the students majoring in basketball.
