Abstract
The major problems exist in the current graduation design teaching of engineering cost include inadquate awareness of the significande of graduation design among the students, which causes a further problem of being unable to master the design procedures; inability to the integral application of the theories learned the lack of ability in consulting data and being easy to get out of control during the process of graduation design. From the prespective of theory and teaching practice, research exploration of the teaching reform on the graduation design is badly needed and the counter measures are as follows: the strengthening of sdutents awareness in this regard; to decompose the links in the teaching process of graduation design; emphasis being placed on the transition and integral application of knowledge; to standardize the process management so that the overall quality of the graduation design could be enhanced.
