Abstract
The deep evolution of digital-intelligent technology is driving information technology education to comprehensive, whole-process, and multi-dimensional transformations. While giving rise to a new ecosystem of such education, the digital intelligent technology also poses enormous challenges to traditional model of the education. The ecosystem of information technology education in the digital-intelligent era faces significant developmental dilemmas. These dilemmas are primarily characterized by regional digital divides, uneven levels of teacher digital literacy, and entrenched mindsets in cultivating innovative top-tier talent. To deal with these dilemmas, we find it necessary to rationally advance the systematic transformation of the top-level design of information technology education. Efforts should be focused on three interconnected fronts. Specifically, work should be carried out to systematically enhance teachers’ digital literacy and digital intelligent technology application competence, and deeply integrate such technology to reconstruct teaching scenarios. In addition, students’ information literacy and self-directed learning skills should be cultivated. These measures will help break through the practical bottlenecks of ITE in the digital-intelligent era and ultimately achieve high-quality development in this field.
