Abstract
Human spiritual character is fundamental to individuals’ self-establishment and a nation’s strength. XI Jinping’s important expositions on the ethos of educators provide a fundamental guide for accelerating the construction of China as an educational powerhouse. Viewed within their historical context, these expositions emerged amid the comprehensive advancement of the construction. They were further shaped by a complex international landscape and an education reform process that has entered uncharted waters. In terms of evolutionary logic, the starting point lies in shaping the unique spiritual attributes of Chinese educators, framed by the six-dimensional connotative system as its core structure. The overarching standard is the development of a high-caliber, professionalized teaching corps, with the ultimate purpose being to nurture talent for both the Communist Party of China and China. From a practical perspective, this important formulation stresses the enhancement of the Party’s overall leadership in education and the construction of a long-term mechanism to sustain a sound educational ecology. Concurrently, it prioritizes the cultivation of a professional teaching force that exemplifies the ethos and competence of educators.
