Application of electron transfer method in the designing of galvanic cells

    • With the aim of enabling students to precisely design galvanic cells, this paper focuses on the fundamental essence of galvanic cells, namely electron transfer, and innovatively puts forward the electron transfer method for galvanic cell design. The key core of this method lies in prompting the reaction components to undergo electron transfer, thus opening up new pathway for galvanic cell design. In the process of research, various types of chemical reactions, including redox reactions, acid-base neutralization and dissociation reactions, precipitation formation and dissociation reactions, etc. were carefully selected, and the electron transfer method was then employed to analyze them in comprehensive manners. The results indicate that the electron transfer method is perfectly applicable to both conventional redox reactions and challenging non-redox reactions, demonstrating high feasibility and universality. Moreover, the flexibility of this method allows students to conceive a variety of types of galvanic cells by using this method to different reaction components. The application of the electron transfer method helps students to deeply understand the essence of galvanic cells, cultivates innovative thinking and the ability to solve practical problems, and effectively solve students' problems in galvanic cells design.
