    The Educational Significance and Practical Approaches to Cultivation of Eo-conscious Citizens within the Context of Building a Strong China

    • It is imperative to advance ecological civilization and enhance public ecological literacy in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. This directly calls for cultivating a generation of eco-conscious citizens. This cultivation is both vital for humanity’s evolving role and a pragmatic response to building a strong, ecologically modern nation. Such cultivation carries profound educational significance. However, current efforts face challenges at the conceptual, systemic, and resource-support levels. To meet these challenges and advance the overarching goal, a threefold approach is required. The approach comprises shifting educational paradigms, establishing a robust ecological-education system, and harnessing digital technology to empower teaching and learning. These steps are essential to systematically foster a generation of eco-conscious citizens.
