Abstract
Integrating educator ethos into textbooks is crucial in the new era. It fulfills the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, cultivates students’ core competencies more profoundly, and emphasizes textbooks’ role in transmitting China’s cultural values. This integration follows a coherent logic. Textbooks draw on historical logic by inheriting China’s esteemed pedagogical traditions. They embody the value logic by shaping students’ correct values and practice logic by cultivating innovative, practically-minded talents for the era. In practice, this effort should be based on relevant curriculum standards and documents, primarily utilizing unified textbooks. Three key approaches are essential: transforming regional cultural resources, integrating contemporary contexts, and leveraging VR technology. These measures will deeply embed the ethos into the teaching materials. This will enable it to function effectively as a spiritual torch, a value compass, and a foundational platform for comprehensive education.
