Abstract
Four challenges brought by algorithmic communication require innovative development in the discourse of ideological and political education (DIPE). Firstly, in the algorithmic era, the intelligence of algorithmic communication subjects challenges the guiding power of DIPE. Secondly, the personalization of communication content decreases the attractiveness of DIPE. Thirdly, the emotionalization of communication highlights the limitations of DIPE. Fourthly, the diversification of communication channels undermines the uniqueness of DIPE. Therefore, the characteristics and rules of algorithmic communication must be fully considered in the innovation in DIPE. Accordingly, the guiding power of discourse can be enhanced by cultivating discourse innovators with solid algorithmic literacy, the explanatory power of discourse is strengthened by constructing discourse content with distinct disciplinary characteristics, the influencing power of discourse is improved by creating lively discourse expression methods, and the cohesion of discourse is promoted by establishing diverse and interconnected communication channels.
