Population Mobility of Song Dynasty in The Script for Story-telling by Qing Ping Shan Tang from the Perspective of Sociology of Literature

    • The Script for Story-telling by Qing Ping Shan Tang (SQPST), there are depictions related to regional mobility of population. The regional mobility of population can mainly be divided into three types: converging, diverging, and the interaction of converging and diverging. These descriptions can complement historical records. On the one hand, the stories in the SQPST can serve as specific historical records to expand typical cases for historical research. On the other hand, the stories portray the joys and sorrows of the common Chinese people in Song Dynasty convey values that encourage goodness, and exhibit unique characteristics of urban life, education, and regionalism. It can be seen that the mobility promotes the contact and communication between different cultural systems. As a result, new cultures of commerce and towns are brought about. Therefore, the existing literati culture is impacted, tending to integrate elegance and popularity. Eventually the literati culture reflects the aggregation effect of urbanization of consumption and entertainment.
