    A Crisis or Chance: A Study on ChatGPT’s Value and Path for Enhancement of University Students’ Digital Literacy

    • As a representative of natural language models, ChatGPT has played a significant role in education. There is a heated debate on whether it poses a crisis or an opportunity for university students’ academic development. Adopted by university students, it gave rise to undesirable outcomes, such as dishonesty in their academic papers and plagiarism in their assignments. It is also undeniable that ChatGPT has exerted a positive influence. For instance, it can bring about beneficial value in terms of fostering innovation, logical thinking, skills of emotional communication, and social responsibility of university students. It is essential for university students to have a proper understanding of ChatGPT, utilize it appropriately in order to enhance their survival skills in this digital age.
