The Corrections in Biographies of XU, MI, SUN, JIAN, YI, and QIN in The Book of Shu from Collected Annotations on the Records of the Three Kingdoms

As the culmination of annotations to The Records of the Three Kingdoms, LU Bi’s Collected Annotations on the Records of the Three Kingdoms holds significant reference for the study of The Records of the Three Kingdoms. Punctuation editing is provided to LU’s Collected Annotations on the Records of the Three Kingdoms (CARTK) published by Shanghai Classics Publishing House (SCPH). Further textual research is also based on the edition by SCPH. As a result, conveniences for study and academic research in CARTK are offered. However, certain shortcomings are still found in this edition of CARTK such as sentence structure, punctuation of proper names, explanatory notes, among other aspects. Taking Chapter 38 of Biographies of XU, MI, SUN, JIAN, YI, and QIN in The Book of Shu, as an example, some questions and errors are listed for reference.
