Seven Examples of Imperfection in the Mongolian Definitions from Great Chinese Dictionary

The Mongolian loanwords collected in Great Chinese Dictionary suffer from issues such as incomplete and inaccurate definitions. By literature retrieval and comparisons, a study was conducted on seven words, namely bulanxi, chijin, etuoke, gui youchi, huochi, naoer, and sahua. The study aimed to supplement the definitions of the five words which are bulanxi, chijin, etuoke, naoer, and sahua. It also corrected the definitions of guiyouchi and huochi. Therefore, this research contributes to the revision of the Great Chinese Dictionary.
