Research review and anticipations of teaching materials of “statistics and probability” in primary and secondary schools in China

Abstract
With the advance of the mathematics curriculum reform, the research into the Chinese teaching materials of "Statistics and Probability" in primary and secondary schools is constantly deepening. Through the analysis of 191 related papers and documents, it is found that the background and expression of statistical knowledge, the relationship between statistics and probability, and the connection between different learning stages are problems of common concerns for most researchers. Based on the characteristics of curricular philosophy for different learning stages, primary school teaching textbooks emphasizes the integration within and between subjects; middle school ones give more attention to the use of technology; while the senior high school textbooks focuses more on mathematical culture. Researchers have basically formed a set of mainstream systems concerning the dimensions, perspectives and standards for comparison and and analysis. Future research also needs to step up efforts in correcting the attitude towards teaching materials comparative study, innovating research methods from the perspective of disciplinary thinking, and bridging the gap between curriculum standards, teaching materials and teaching.
