Review on Chinese Neologisms Referring to Persons

Currently, researches on neologisms referring to persons in Chinese are reflected by monographic or case studies. Research subjects mainly include ontological and applied research. Theoretical perspectives adopted in the previous studies are sociolinguistics, cognitive linguistics, construction theories, word model theories, eco-linguistics, etc. In the future research, the following can be done. It is necessary to complete collections and collation of linguistic data related to the neologisms in order to provide integrate and systematic research. Research methods are updated. On the basis of descriptions, reasons are explained. Research subjects are expanded. Diachronic and dynamic investigations are enforced on the basis of synchronic and static analysis. The features and rules of neologisms referring to persons are explored based on the neologisms their own.
