On the revision of the Chinese version of the perceived stress reactivity scale

    • To evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the perceived stress reactivity scale (PSRS) in Chinese college students, a total of 836 college students were selected for the test using convenient sampling. The exploratory factor analysis finds five common factors with a total cumulative explained variance rate of 53.00%. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that each index of the model fits well. The internal consistency reliabilities of the five subscales lie between 0.73 ~ 0.76; and the retested reliability ranges from 0.60 to 0.76. The structural stability, reliability and validity of Chinese version of the PSRS have all met the requirements of psychological measurement, and thus can be used as an effective tool to measure the response of Chinese college students to perceived stress.
