Abstract
Urban parks, as the major public places of leisure and entertainment for the disabled, play a rather important part in mobilizing the disabled to go outdoors and participate more actively in society.The paper investigates the influencing factors affecting the accessibility of Shenzhen Lotus Hill Park by means of questionnaires.It is found that hardware facilities and services, social environment, tourists’ personal psychology, park internal management and information acquisition will affect the the disabled people’s perception and evaluation of accessibility of the park.In descending order of influencing degree:hardware facilities and services>social environment>tourists’ personal psychology>the park’s internal management and information acquisition.In response to the status quo of barrier-free environment construction of urban parks, the leisure characteristics of disabled people and barrier-free construction norms, a few reasonable suggestions for building a barrier-free environment in the Lotus Hill Park were offered.
