Abstract
The movie Dorian Gray adapted from the Wilde’s novel The Picture of Dorian Gray has fully shown the worship of beauty, pursuit for sense and moment enjoyment, and the aesthetic view of preference to Pre-Raphaelite style and foreign country flavor. The movie has fully explained the aesthetic view through various plots, and interpreted and shown the rich themes from different perspectives, such as the understanding of one’s fate and fear of“being seen”.At the same time, it has also manifested Wilde’s attitude toward the aestheticism through figures’ setting and plots’ arrangement.
