PU Songling had written a lot of works all his life.In addition to Strange Tales from Liaozhai, he had created many engagements.Through examination of such articles, this paper has found some of PU’s views toward marriage, which include stressing family status, talent and learning, marriage through matchmakers, destined lot, remarriage as something perfect, and a large family brought about by the couple’s harmony.His marriage views obviously had feudal labels as well as the progressive aspects for reference.
