Effect of Nano-SiO2 on Recovery of Polyethylene Modified Composites

    • The filling agent, toughening agent, plasticizer and other additives were mixed together according to different mixing ratio with the recycled polyethylene (PE) plastic, then by melting mixing granulation forming, the recycled PE modified nano composite materials were made.By use of universal testing machine, the tensile properties material and the mechanical properties such as flexural performance were tested, and scanning electron microscope (SEM) , X-ray diffraction (XRD) , infrared spectrometer (FT-IR) were used respectively for structural characterization of the modified composite material structure. The results show that the nanometer SiO2 can be evenly dispersed in the recycled polyethylene, and when the quality copies of the SiO2 are 68, the quality copies of the SBS are 2224, the tensile properties of the composites will increase by42.7%, the bending performance will improve by 59.3%, after the modification, PE gets lower crystallinity, and nanometer silicon dioxide particles can be evenly dispersed in the PE plastic matrix.
