ABibliometrics-based Analysis of Research Trend on Traditional Chinese Arts and Crafts

The bibliometrics method was employed to investigate literature related to the Chinese traditional arts and
crafts. It is found that the research progress of the Chinese traditional arts and crafts has the following characteristics: the number of the relevant literature had a temporary drop first and then experienced a steadfast increase; there are numerous key periodicals dedicated to research in this regard yet core authors are too scarce; research institutes and regions are geographically
unevenly distributed; adequate attention is given to the research yet little attention is given to the heritage, protection, upgra- ding and innovation of the traditional arts and crafts. It is advised that relevant experts make still greater efforts to further ad- vance the in-depth research of it and research institutes shift their attention to the underdeveloped regions thus to promote the revitalization of the traditional arts research.
