Analysis of Spatial Structureand Development Pattern of Tourism Economy in Metropolitan Chengdu:A Case Study of MetropolitanChengdu

The gravity model and research methods like the social network analysis are used to analyse the tourism eco-
nomic relation, the spatial structural features and the characteristics of development pattern and development orientation of the city in metropolitan Chengdu between2012 and2016 and it is found: (1) the tourism economic tie between the cities in metro-
politan Chengdu is closer(2) Chengdu can be graded as the core tourist destination,and Deyang, Ziyang and Meishan can be graded as portal tourist destinations and Yaan as a marginal tourist destination. It is advised that a one-core-plus-two-belts tourism economy development pattern be constructed and the market structure of the tourists source places be optimized thus to help push forward the development of the marginal tourist destinations.
