Media Trial in China under the Legal Perspective

In recent years, the media trial has been prevalent and it has triggered the violent conflict between independent
justice and freedom of the press. We need to seek for the legal means to standardize and systematize the trial. In China, media trial has its specific interpretation and peculiarity as well as its practical factors for existence. It needs to be standardized and systematized in terms of rational criticism, national guarantee of judicial justice, promotion of news media’s self-discipline awareness, judiciary authorities’ increase of professional caliber and improvement of citizens’ discrimination ability.
