On the Scientific Orientation of Agriculture Development Bank in the Promoting of Urban-rural Development Integration

Agricultural Development Bank ofChina is the only policy-making bank for agriculture development in China, playing an important role in the process of pushing forward the urban-rural integration. After a global review of the urban-rural integration, a scientific orientation is made for the Agriculture Development Bank of China: to offer support for the purchase, sale and storage of the grain, cotton and oil; to offer aid in solving people’s food and clothing; to finance infrastructure con- struction; to help residents solve the drinking water problem; to finance agriculture-related industries in their industrialization process; to facilitate and solve residents’re-employment and increase their income. Corresponding counter-measures were thus proposed: sufficient emphasis be placed; management be stepped up; risk prevention be strictly maintained; active marketing and appropriate measures be taken to suit differing conditions and localities; active efforts be made to expand banking business; an active style of work be applied to enhance the overall quality of financial service.
