Yan’an Literature: Birth and Preliminary Standardization of the Image“Peasant Heroes”

The shaping of“peasant heroes” is one of the tasks of Yan’an literature. The images of“peasant heroes’ are not molded according to the writers’ own experience, perception and cognition, but to the need of revolution. And then the task is assigned to writers. The publication of The Sun over Sanggan River and Rain Storms has been the symbol of formation of the preliminary standardization of“peasant-hero” images.
