Abstract
Qi is a meta-category of Chinese classical philosophy. It began to change to aesthetic category in the period of Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties. And it was in generalization and tended to be mature gradually. Such generalization showed the deep excavation of content and connotation of Qi's aesthetic category both longitudinally and crosswise. It has formed a gigantic group of Qi's aesthetic category which have a kind of serialized character with life spirit as the core and condensation point. The generalization of Qi's aesthetic category is of vital significance and it has driven the aesthetic category to be rich and mature.
