Analysis of Cultivated Land's Spatial Difference Changes at County Level in Chengdu

Based on the cultivated land changes at county level of Chengdu in the years from 2000 to 2012 and by use of the rate of cultivated land change and the Lorenz curve and Gink coefficient, an analysis of the spatial changes and the regional differences of is made of the county-level farmland in Chengdu. The result shows that the change of cultivated land area takes a downward trend from 2000 to 2012 in Chengdu with periodic characteristics. The relative rate of cultivated land change descends from the center of the city to the periphery. The spatial distribution of cultivated land change was of an unbalanced regional trend and the degree of this unbalanced development was increasing at county level in Chengdu. To some extent, the research results can provide a reference for the protection of cultivated land resource.
