Rectification and Reorganization ofTianjin's Trade Union by Nanjin National Government during the Period between 1928 and 1937

After the unification of China, Nanjing National Government began to rectified and reorganized trade unions with compulsive measures. Moreover, it made strict supervision and control over them. With the Government's interference, there appeared dispute with Tianjin Trade Union. The contradiction between the Union and Government became deeper and deeper. Under the resistance of the Union, the Government failed to dismiss it, but continued to limit its various activities in attempt to indirectly reorganize the Union through personnel changes. Meanwhile, the Government bound the association members to certain ranks and the number of membership fee.
