Restraint Factors and Countermeasures for Rapid Economic Breakthroughin Northeast Sichuan Economic Zone

The use of the growth pole theory for developing local economy will lead to both positive and negative effects. Sichuan proposed the construction of a multi-point and multi-polar supporting strategy, which is of great significance in narrowing the gap between different cities in the province and helping achieve a coordinated development of provincial economy. Analysis finds that the restraint factors in northeastern Sichuan economic zone are as follows: the underdeveloped economy and the shortage of development funds; the lack of large-scale leading enterprises with inconspicuous industry characteristics; the retarded industrial restructuring short of motive force of development. Three countermeasures are put forward: to expand the economic scale, to enhance their own “blood renewal” capability; to step up policy support and foster leading enterprises; deepen regional economic cooperation for the realization of regional united development.
