Effects of Fulvic Acid and Calcium Nitrate Andthe Combined Treatmenton the Seed Germination of Hulless Barley under Salt Stress

    • Effects of fulvic acid and Ca2+ and their complex treatment on seed germination were investigated under 200mmol/L NaCl stress after treating the seeds of hulless barley in solution of 100 mg/L fulvic acid(FA), and 4500 mg/L calcium nitrate Ca(NO3)2. The results show that salt stress could remarkably inhibit the germination and growth of hulless barley seedlings; and fulvic acid, Ca(NO3)2 and their complex solution treatment could observably increase the germination rate, germination vigor, germination index, vitality index and the number of seedlings, plant height, root length, fresh mass of shoot, dry mass of shoot, fresh mass of root, dry mass of root of hulless barley, of which fulvic acid and calcium nitrate complex treatment has the best effect, indicating that the fulvic acid, Ca(NO3)2 and their complex solution could enhance the ability of hulless barley seed to resist salt stress.
