Abstract
A Collection of Jushi's Works was compiled by OUYANG Xiu in his late years. But A Para-collection of Jush's Works was compiled by the people of later generations. The points of view toward the orthodox in two collections are not in line with each other. OUYANG Xiu confirmed the orthodox of Hou Liang, but in his late years he abandoned such view. As for his orthodox view, there appeared some changes in his early years. His thought was not contradictory with the orthodox and the main trend. However, with the renaissance and further development of Confucius studies, the orthodox and main trend changed gradually, hence the contradiction arose. His orthodox view in his early years directly exerted influence on the co-compilation ofA History of Five Dynastieswith YIN Zhu. The thought in his late years was the correspondence to the Confucian renaissance he participated in as well as the amendment to his contradictory orthodox in his early years.
