Abstract: Wuxi had once played a very important part in the history of modern Chinese tourism, Many visitors traveled to Wuxi and recorded what they saw and heard in the form of travel notes and published in various media of their times. An interpretation and analysis of their notes from the perspectives of transportation, accommodation, food, shopping, tourist recreation, helps reveal the tourism ecology of Wuxi in the Republic of China.
