Abstract: The police sports consist of rich content like the police affairs, the general public, schools, and etc., in reference to “dichotomy” theory in the military sports, all the parts can be divided into sports of direct or indirect service whose supreme aim is to enhance the behavioral agent's combat capability. By adjusting the goals and means of the sports act, all the researches can be categorized into the field of sports and the field of police as well. Yet in view of the theoretical significance and the practical value for deliberate efforts done to define the “police sports”, it is more rational to put it into the category of police instead of the sport, which means that the police sports must be based on the practical needs of the police, police affairs and the police service and by studying the public and school sports, thus to supply high-quality service and make the enhancement of the “combat capability” its supreme task.
