Abstract:
The Adolescents' Future Orientation Scale by Liu Xia and Self-esteem Scale by Rosenberg were employed to explore about the relationships between the college students' future orientation and self-esteem. The results showed: on the whole, the college students' future orientation was in a rather high level, indicating that they have a good cognizance, emotion and volitional movement; the gender is found to play an extremely significant role in a college student's future orientation while the growth environment and the level of the undergraduate institute exert hardly any influence on their future orientation; the college students have a rather high level of self-esteem and gender, growth environment and the level of the undergraduate institute have little influence upon a student's self-esteem; college students' future orientation is found positively correlated to their self-esteem
