Abstract: In the novel The Outlaws of Marsh, SUN Er niang, a representative of bar women, in fact is another stereotype of beautiful and romantic bar woman in the tradition of ancient Chinese literature. SUN is completely different from the traditional coquettish woman. But in her conversation with WU Song, there seems to be the intimacy between a coquettish bar girl and her client. In common people’s eyes, she looks evil, and unconstrained. In spite of that, she is beautiful and unique in literature.
